A wonderful childhood filled with an intense curiosity and benign neglect allowed Alison the opportunity to discover the television of yesteryear. Watching stuff she shouldn’t really have been watching broadened her popular cultural understanding and led to her gaining a pointless degree in media and cultural studies, only used now to take part in pub quizzes. Born and raised in Bolton, Alison is a former journalist and youth worker, but now fits childcare of two kids and a bag making business - Absolute Bobbins - around binge watching tv.
